As Miro transitioned from RealtimeBoard, it aimed to signal its evolution as more than just a collaboration tool—it was a platform for innovation, creativity, and teamwork. The challenge was to design a scalable and dynamic identity that could grow with the brand, resonate across diverse global audiences, and reflect Miro’s vision of collaboration without boundaries.
Collaboration is at the heart of Miro’s brand. To bring this to life, we created a playful yet professional identity featuring four collaborative characters that symbolize teamwork’s challenges and triumphs. The visual language celebrates the joy of working together—whether in the same room or across continents.
The rebrand catapulted Miro from a niche tool to a global movement. The new identity combined versatile design elements, cheerful characters, and clean UI, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, from product interfaces to billboard campaigns. Miro grew from 2.5 million to 80 million users, attracting powerhouse clients like Netflix, Spotify, and Cisco. The rebrand earned multiple European Design Awards and set a new standard in the creative collaboration space.
